Frequently asked questions
What happens when my rental ends?
We schedule a pickup window and retrieve the hens, coop, and any remaining supplies. You don't need to do anything except be home during the pickup time.
Do I need any chicken experience?
Not at all. Every rental includes a care guide, a first-timer coaching call, and 24/7 support. We walk you through everything from day one.
Can I extend my rental?
Yes — extend anytime with no interruption. If you decide you want to keep the hens permanently, we offer a transition-to-ownership path.
How many eggs will I get?
Healthy hens typically lay 4–6 eggs per week each. A Starter Flock of 2 hens usually produces 8–12 eggs weekly — enough for a family's breakfasts.
What about local zoning laws?
We help you confirm your address is eligible before booking. Most suburban areas allow backyard hens. We'll let you know if there are any restrictions.
Are care visits required?
Care visits are optional add-ons. Many families handle daily care themselves (it takes about 10 minutes), but visits are available if you travel or want extra support.
